ReBar - Park(ing)

Park(ing) Day 2008 - Philadelphia from John Davidson on Vimeo.

Since 2005, cities across the globe have been participating in PARK(ing) Day, an annual event that transforms metered parking spaces into mini parks/lounge areas. Started in 2005 by the art collective REBAR in San Francisco as a celebration of parks and open space, PARK(ing) Day is now an international one-day event that includes thousands of people in at least eight countries. This was the first year groups from Philadelphia participated, taking over 30 parking spaces in cooperation with the Philadelphia Parking Authority.
