Poster Boy is an anonymous New York City based street artist whose only utensil is a razor. He is known for satiric collage-like works created by cutting out sections of the self-adhesive advertisement posters in the platforms of New York City subway stations, and pasting them back in different positions. He lives in Brooklyn, New York. Poster Boy also refers to a 'Poster Boy movement' where other people produce similar unsigned work in the New York City subways imitating this original artist.

Jardin Solar teaser from Dream Addictive on Vimeo.

JardínSolar - SolarGarden — by Dream Addictive — is a series of sculptures that explore the field of sound interaction, using renewable energy as supply source. The intention is to integrate open source hardware and software, and solar cells as energy source, proposing a series of prototypes that generate audio and relational interfaces.
The creatures in the “solar garden” are entities of light. They feed themselves from electrons, process their energy and translate it into electronic songs. They are sociable and sensible machines, they like public space, where they can call people and invite them to play actively with established chance and ethereal frequencies of electronic sound. The sculptures are made of wood, acrylic and plastic, their aesthetics are some times mimetic and some other times are imposed on landscape, decomposing space at a visual and sound level.

This collection of Red Cross guerilla advertisements touches on a great variety of emergency situations, from ones close to home to others around the world. For the most part they emphasize the living conditions of others who are less fortunate, from those who need blood transfusions to others in war-torn and poverty-stricken nations. Such culture jamming strategies can bring an issue into public discourse.

Indoctrinate U is a 2007 American feature-length documentary film written by, directed by and starring Evan Coyne Maloney, on ideological conformism and political correctness in American higher education. Among other things, the film examines the use of institutional mechanisms such as speech codes, which are used to punish students who express political views that are unpopular within academia.

Tra droghe, sesso e violenza, sette magiche, manifestazioni politiche, perfidi sbirri e criminali idealisti, gruppi razzisti, città sommerse, delfini e filosofie cinesi, R. Shea e R.A.

The Cacophony Society is “a randomly gathered network of free spirits united in the pursuit of experiences beyond the pale of mainstream society.” It was started in 1986 by surviving members of the now defunct Suicide Club of San Francisco.

Cacophony could be described as an indirect culture jamming outgrowth of the Dada movement, and the Situationists. One of its central concepts is the Trip to the Zone, or Zone Trip, inspired by the Temporary Autonomous Zone.

According to self-designated members of the Society, “you may already be a member.” The anarchic nature of the Society means that membership is left open-ended and anyone may sponsor an event, though not every idea pitched garners attendance by members. Cacophony events often involve costumes and pranks in public places and sometimes going into places that are generally off limits to the public[citation needed]. Cacophonists have been known to regale Christmas shoppers with improved Christmas carols while dressed as Santa Claus, and later invite strippers to sit on Santa's lap (Santa Rampage).

The Bubble Project, as proclaimed by its manifesto, aims to counteract corporate marketing and advertisement messages in public spaces.

The project was conceived by an artist and art director who originally printed 15,000 stickers that look like speech bubbles used in comic strips. He posts these blank speech bubbles on top of advertisements throughout New York City allowing anyone who sees them to write in their comments and thoughts. By filling in the bubbles people engage in the project and transform “the corporate monologue into an open dialogue”. After time passes, the comments are photographed and posted on the project’s

Started in 2005 by the art collective REBAR in San Francisco as a celebration of parks and open space, PARK(ing) Day is now an international one-day event that includes thousands of people in at least eight countries. This was the first year groups from Philadelphia participated, taking over 30 parking spaces in cooperation with the Philadelphia Parking Authority.

Everywhere we go today we are constantly under surveillance by cctv networks. Video Sniffin' is way to turn these security devices into your own environmental television studio by plucking the wireless signals from the air and capturing them to your own recording device. Why bother to buy a camera when there are so many already within the environment?

John Fekner just sent me a link to a great photo collection he recently put up of his stenciled car husks. John started painting slogans such as "Decay" on the side of abandoned cars in Queens and the South Bronx in the early 80s. This simple act de-naturalized the collapse of these neighborhoods, reminding everyone that this was not some foregone conclusion, but the results of specific policies and actions of city officials.
